What is a PSARA License?

A PSARA License is a license issued to security guard providers under the Private Security Agencies Regulation Act.  a person  or business that provides security guards is required to obtain a Private Security Agency Regulation Act (PSARA) license.  you’ll  apply for a PSARA License with your state’s Home Department.  an individual’s  application for a license under this Act will only be considered after a thorough background check has been conducted.  an organization, partnership, or association of persons shall not be eligible for a license under this Act if it’s not registered in India or if its owner, majority shareholder, partner, or director isn’t an Indian citizen.

An application for a license to work for a private security agency must be submitted to the Controlling Authority on Form V and Form III,  together with an affidavit, indemnity bond, identification, and address proofs containing information regarding the provisions of this Act.  the appliance must be accompanied by a fee of I rupees five thousand if the private security agency operates in one district of a State, (ii) rupees ten thousand if the private security agency operates in two to 5  districts of a State, and (iii) rupees twenty-five thousand if the private security agency operates throughout the whole  State. The validity of the granted license is five years.

Who issues PSARA License:

  • The State Department of Homeland Security issues PSARA licenses.

Renewal & Fees:

  • The license is renewed after five years have passed from the date of issuance.
  • 5,000 Rupees if the private security agency operates during a single district of a State.
  • Ten thousand rupees if a personal security agency operates in more than one but fewer than five districts within a state.
  • 25,000 Rupees if the private security agency operates throughout the whole state.

For Private Ownership
  1. PAN for Business Owners, Aadhaar or Voter ID, Passport or  driver's licence .
  2. Latest passport size photograph
  3. Proprietor Mobile Number
  4. Proprietor Email id
  5. Form V Form III Affidavit Registered Office Address Indemnity Bond Latest Power Bill Letter of No Objection cum Affidavit from the owner if the property is owned.
  6. If the property is rented,  the owner  will provide a rental agreement.
For Other Businesses
  1. Partners or Directors PAN, Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport, or  driver's licence .
  2. Directors or Partners'  most up-to-date  passport photos
  3. Latest passport size photograph
  4. Director/Partner  telephone  Number
  5. Director/Partner Email Adresse
  6. Form V Form III Affidavits Bonds of Indemnity
  7. Partnership Deed  within the  Event of Firm
  8. Certificate of Registration of Business Partnership Deed or Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association, or LLP Agreement Firm/LLP/Company PAN
  9. Board Decision
  10. Registered Office Location Latest Power Bill Letter of No Objection cum Affidavit from the owner if the property is owned.
  11. If the property is rented,  the owner  will provide a rental agreement.
