How to Correct a DIN Number:
DIN Correction is required whenever there is change in director’s details, like their address, email address, or mobile number. By filing eForm DIR6, a director’s information are often updated in his or her DIN. Rule 12(1) of the businesses (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Rules, 2014 and Rule 10 of the indebtedness Partnership Rules, 2009, which are reproduced for your reference, require the filing of eForm DIR-6.
Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Rules 2014, Rule 12(1):
Every individual who has been assigned a Director number pursuant to these rules shall, within thirty days of any change in his particulars as stated in Form DIR-3, inform the Central Government of such change(s) in Form DIR-6 within the manner described below:
(a) The applicant must download Form DIR-6 from the portal, complete the applicable changes, verify the shape, and fasten a scanned copy of the proof of the changed particulars before submitting the form electronically;
(b) the shape must be digitally signed by a practicing chartered accountant, a practicing company secretary, or a practicing accountant.
c) The applicant is required to submit Form DIR-6.
Rule 10 of the indebtedness Partnership Rules, 2009 states:
Every individual who has been allotted a DPIN or DIN under these rules shall, within thirty days of any change in his particulars, file an application in Form DIR-6 under the businesses (Appointment and Qualifications of Directors) Rules, 2014 to tell the Central Government of such change(s) (s).
